A Birthday Hike in Hot Springs National Park

I recently went on a birthday trip to Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas, and I wanted to share my experience with you! If you're looking for a family-friendly national park with lots of history and trails, Hot Springs is definitely worth considering.

One of the coolest things about this national park is that it's right in the middle of the city. That means there are lots of hotel options nearby, including Airbnbs. The Airbnb we stayed in had the coolest decor (I'm not an interior decorator, so I don't know what kind of decor it was, but trust me, it was cool).

The trails at Hot Springs aren't super remote, so if you're worried about getting lost or losing cell signal, this is a great option. You can even see or hear the highway from most of the trails. But don't worry, there's still plenty of wildlife to see, like cute little deer.

One of my favorite hikes in the park was the Goat Rock Trail. It has a great view that's even better than the one from the Mountain Tower, and it's a pretty short hike. And if you're into autumn colors, like me, you're in luck! Hot Springs has plenty of oranges, yellows, and deep reds to enjoy.

If you're looking for something a little more relaxing, there are also a few spas on Bathhouse Row. Just make sure to call ahead, especially if you're going over the weekend, because they can book up quickly.

Overall, I had a great time in Hot Springs National Park and I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a family-friendly national park with lots of history and trails.
